A Little Too Much – Natasha Bedingfield (Something Borrowed)

‘A Little Too Much’ was written in Los Angeles with John Hill and Natasha Bedingfield during the sessions for her album Strip Me. We were talking about the mystery of love, how it can stretch you, humble you, and sometimes break your heart a little, yet still be the very thing that makes life meaningful.

Not long after the record came out, we heard that the Kate Hudson film Something Borrowed wanted the song for the end titles. It felt like such a natural home for it, because the story carries that same emotional journey of risking your heart and choosing love anyway.

The line ‘I’d rather love just a little too much’ really captures the spirit of the song. Even when it hurts a little, it reminds us we’re alive, connected, and meant to give our hearts fully. I’d rather love and lose than never love at all.
