‘Together In This’ was written during a moment when the whole world suddenly felt very uncertain. In the middle of the pandemic, I felt a strong desire to write a song that could remind people that even when we are physically apart, we are never truly alone.

Natasha Bedingfield and I have been neighbors and friends since we were 17 back in London, and during the pandemic we even found ourselves in the same bubble in Los Angeles. So when the production team asked who I imagined singing the song, I couldn’t think of a better voice than Natasha’s. She has this incredible ability to take any melody and truly make it her own, bringing a lyric to life with warmth and soul.

The film Jungle Beat: The Movie carried such a joyful spirit. Writing the end title song felt like the perfect opportunity to turn that spirit into an anthem of hope.

The movie went on to reach No. 3 on the global Netflix chart and brought joy to millions of families around the world, which made the whole journey incredibly special.

The song also took on a life of its own, with live performances on Live with Kelly and Ryan, The View, and television shows around the world, continuing to spread the message that even in difficult times, we are stronger together.”
