SONGS FOR FILM & TV
Jonas Myrin has written and produced original music for film and television across two decades — from animated children's features to Amazon Prime Video originals, from intimate end-title songs to scores heard by tens of millions worldwide.
Role: Development Music Director
Songs: Adventure Song (opening title) · 23 (end title)
David — Angel Studios (2025)
The animated feature David — the timeless story of David and Goliath reimagined for a new generation — was released worldwide in December 2025 by Angel Studios.
"Working on David was one of those rare creative journeys where the story feels larger than the film itself. One of the first things I said to the team was, 'This is more than a movie, this is a movement.'
From the start, we wanted the music to carry the emotional heart of David's journey. Writing the opening and end title songs was a deeply meaningful experience for me, because those moments frame the entire story.” — Jonas Myrin
House of David — Amazon Prime Video (2025)
Amazon Prime Video's live-action series House of David premiered globally in February 2025 and drew over 44 million viewers worldwide across its first season, reaching No. 1 on the platform.
"Writing and producing 'Lead Me To The Water' for Michael Iskander and Gabby Barrett was especially meaningful. Michael plays David in the show, and he's an incredible singer as well, so hearing his interpretation both as an actor and a vocalist was really wonderful. Music has always been a powerful way to give voice to the inner journey of a character, and that truly came to life in this song." — Jonas Myrin
Role: Songwriter & Producer
Songs: "Lead Me to the Water" · "Beautiful Horizon" · "Help"
The Hopeful (2024)
The Hopeful is a cinematic retelling of the origin story of a global movement. After the War of 1812, William Miller sets off on a quest that unravels a profound truth with the power to transform everything. His revelation sparks a fire in Ellen Harmon and an unlikely band of supporters, who brave fierce resistance to champion a cause that could change the course of history.
"I wrote and recorded two original songs for the film, ‘Hope Is On The Way’ and ‘Made For You’. Both were written to reflect the emotional heart of the story, with ‘Hope Is On The Way’ becoming the end theme of the film, carrying the message that even when life feels uncertain, hope is always moving toward us.
Working with Kyle and the team was incredibly special. Kyle found beautiful ways to weave the songs throughout the film in themes, quiet moments, and emotional turning points that I never could have imagined when the music was first written.
On the music side, composer Blake Robinson created the gorgeous orchestration and score for the film, and it was a joy partnering with him as the music came to life.
Even though the story is set in the 1800s, the questions it asks feel timeless: faith, purpose, and what it means to keep believing when life doesn’t unfold the way we expect.
My hope was that the songs would carry the spirit of the film beyond the screen, reminding people that even in life’s most uncertain moments, hope is always on its way." — Jonas Myrin
Role: Songwriter & Producer
Songs: "Made For You” and “Hope Is On The Way"
The motion picture Fatima, based on the true story of three young shepherds in Portugal who reported visions of the Virgin Mary in 1917, features "Gloria (The Gift of Life)" performed by Andrea Bocelli — a song written by Jonas that found its voice in one of the greatest tenors in the world.
"Writing 'Gloria (The Gift of Life)' for Andrea Bocelli was one of those moments that still feels surreal to me. Andrea has a voice that can take a melody somewhere completely new and open up another world the moment he sings it. And then hearing him actually sing it for the first time was unforgettable. Suddenly, the melody had a completely different life. It reminded me that sometimes a song is just waiting for the right voice to reveal what it was meant to be." — Jonas Myrin

Jungle Beat: The Movie — Netflix (2020)
The animated children's film Jungle Beat: The Movie — available on Netflix — closes with "Together in This". Jonas wrote the song with Natasha's voice specifically in mind — including a modulation three steps up into the chorus that he knew very few singers could navigate. She could. What makes the story extraordinary is its context: Jonas's father had just passed away from COVID-19 days before recording. Natasha had been his father's favourite singer in the world. They recorded anyway — and the song became, among other things, a gift.
"Together In This’ was written during a moment when the whole world suddenly felt very uncertain. In the middle of the pandemic, I felt a strong desire to write a song that could remind people that even when we are physically apart, we are never truly alone.
Natasha Bedingfield and I have been neighbours and friends since we were 17 back in London, and during the pandemic, we even found ourselves in the same bubble in Los Angeles. So when the production team asked who I imagined singing the song, I couldn’t think of a better voice than Natasha’s. She has this incredible ability to take any melody and truly make it her own, bringing a lyric to life with warmth and soul.
The film Jungle Beat: The Movie carried such a joyful spirit. Writing the end title song felt like the perfect opportunity to turn that spirit into an anthem of hope.
The movie went on to reach No. 3 on the global Netflix chart and brought joy to millions of families around the world, which made the whole journey incredibly special.
The song also took on a life of its own, with live performances on Live with Kelly and Ryan, The View, and television shows around the world, continuing to spread the message that even in difficult times, we are stronger together.” — Jonas Myrin
The Three Wise Men — Reel FX Animation (2020)
Song: "Just a Breath Away (Noel)" Written by: Jonas Myrin
Produced by: Jonas Myrin & Calle Wikström Ask
This heartwarming animated Christmas special — available on Prime Video — follows the three wise men on their journey to meet the newborn king, with rhymed narration and traditional carols by Hawaii's The Brothers Cazimero. Jonas wrote the only original song for the digital release: "Just a Breath Away (Noel)," capturing the stillness and wonder at the heart of the Christmas story.
"‘Just A Breath Away (Noel)’ began with a phone call in the middle of summer from my friend Erik Lokkesmoe, the executive music producer behind the animated film The Three Wise Men. He asked if I would write the end title Christmas song for the movie. Of course, I said yes. Christmas has always been my favourite time of year, and even though it was blazing hot summer weather in Los Angeles, the chance to write a song for a story about the very first Christmas felt incredibly meaningful.
The film itself was a real passion project for Yarrow and Carrie Cheney, the creative team behind beloved animated films like The Secret Life of Pets and Dr Seuss’ The Grinch. They created a beautiful retelling of the wise men's journey, following the star through the darkness with faith and hope.
That spirit really shaped the heart of the song. ‘Just A Breath Away (Noel)’ was written around the idea that even in the darkest night, hope is often closer than we think.
Hearing the song come to life with the Stockholm Symphony and then seeing it close the film was incredibly special. My hope was that the song would leave people with the same message that lives at the heart of the Christmas story: that no matter what we are facing, hope is never far away. Sometimes it’s just a breath away." — Jonas Myrin
Role: Songwriter
Song: "Sadness (Who's Laughing Now)"
Rough Night — Columbia Pictures (2017)
The Columbia Pictures comedy Rough Night features original music by Jonas Myrin alongside its ensemble cast of some of the biggest names in contemporary comedy.
"I was so honoured to get to write and perform the theme and end-title song ‘JUST A BREATH AWAY (NOEL)’ for the Christmas movie The Three Wise Men.
May this song and film be a reminder that no matter what we are facing or going through. Hope is always greater - and it is only one breath away." — Jonas Myrin
Something Borrowed — Alcon Entertainment (2011)
Role: Songwriter
Song: "A Little Too Much" — performed by Natasha Bedingfield
The romantic comedy Something Borrowed closes with "A Little Too Much" — co-written by Jonas and performed by Natasha Bedingfield during the end credits. Another chapter in one of the most enduring songwriting friendships in contemporary music.
"‘A Little Too Much’ was written in Los Angeles with John Hill and Natasha Bedingfield during the sessions for her album Strip Me. We were talking about the mystery of love, how it can stretch you, humble you, and sometimes break your heart a little, yet still be the very thing that makes life meaningful.
Not long after the record came out, we heard that the Kate Hudson film Something Borrowed wanted the song for the end titles. It felt like such a natural home for it, because the story carries that same emotional journey of risking your heart and choosing love anyway.
The line ‘I’d rather love just a little too much’ really captures the spirit of the song. Even when it hurts a little, it reminds us we’re alive, connected, and meant to give our hearts fully. I’d rather love and lose than never love at all." — Jonas Myrin
